For over 200 years, the Mead paper mill was the backbone of Chillicothe, Ohio. Its closure in August 2025 left more than 800 workers without jobs and a community in crisis.


Produced by Starboard Strategies, Paper Promises is a raw portrait of a town reckoning with loss, resilience, and the human cost of corporate decisions made far from the people they affect most.
